Barbara H. Suddarth
Executive Director
Barbara is a licensed psychologist with more than 15 years of professional experience in career counseling and organizational consulting. She holds a Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from the Pennsylvania State University and an M.A. in Community Counseling from the University of Maryland. Barbara also completed the two-year Program in Psychotherapy Practice from the Washington School of Psychiatry.
Barbara is a National Certified Counselor (NCC), National Certified Career Counselor (NCCC), Master Career Counselor (MCC) and an active member of the National Career Development Association and the American Psychological Association. She maintains a small, private career development and psychotherapy practice in Olney, Maryland.
She also serves on the editorial board of the Career Development Quarterly and is a faculty associate at the Johns Hopkins University, where she teaches graduate-level career development and assessment courses in the School of Education.
David M. Reile, Ph.D.
Managing Director
David is a licensed psychologist, National Certified Career Counselor, and Master Career Counselor with over 20 years of education and experience in career planning and psychological consultation. David's education includes a master's degree in counseling with a specialization in career development, and a doctorate in counseling psychology with a specialization in psychological assessment.
David's experience has been applied in organizational development and consultation as well as management of counselors and career development projects in a variety of settings, including healthcare, banking, international organizations, educational institutions, government, and private practice. David has taught in the master's degree programs in counseling at the Johns Hopkins University, the University of Maryland and at Loyola University in Maryland. He is a member of the Ethics Committee of the National Career Development Association, serving as committee chair from 2004-2009.
David is currently on the editorial board of the Career Development Quarterly, the Journal of the National Career Development Association. He has also served on the editorial board of Career Convergence, the online magazine of the National Career Development Association, as editor of NCDA.org, and as editor of Career Developments, the newsletter of the National Career Development Association.
